How long does it take to build a website?
Most websites launch in 5-7 weeks from the day I have your content. A larger site with e-commerce or custom booking usually runs 8-10 weeks. The single biggest factor is how quickly text and photos come back to me — the design work itself moves fast once I have something to design around.
How much does a website cost?
Every website is quoted individually, but most small business sites start at $3,000. The price depends on how many pages you need, whether you’re selling online, and whether you need content and photography as well as design. I’ll give you a fixed quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises partway through.
Do I own my website when it's finished?
Yes — completely. You own the domain, the design, the content, and the WordPress installation. If you ever decide to move to another designer or another host, the site goes with you and I’ll help with the handoff.
What if I don't have content or photos yet?
That’s normal, and it’s not a reason to wait. I can write your website copy, and I work with photographers when a project needs original images. If you’d rather write it yourself, I’ll give you a page-by-page outline so you’re not staring at a blank document.
Can you redesign my existing site without losing my Google rankings?
Yes, and it’s worth doing carefully. I map every existing page to its new address and set up redirects so the value your current pages have built up carries over. Redesigns lose rankings when this step gets skipped — it’s the first thing I plan, not the last.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Yes. I build in WordPress with Elementor, so you can edit text and swap images visually without touching code. Every site includes a walkthrough when it launches, and if you’d rather not deal with it at all, a care plan means you send me the changes and I make them.
